Thoughts on the 26th Founding Anniversary of TUMCS

Every year, our school Taytay United Methodist Christian School (TUMCS) celebrates its founding anniversary.  There are a lot of programs during the founding anniversary like the field demonstration, wherein students from first year to fourth year compete in modern dance, cheering, and ballroom. Yet, the most awaited event during the foundation week is the Intrams or the "sports-fest." This is the part where students will be able to display their physical and mental talents in basketball, volleyball, and badminton. I became the representative for badminton since I have played this sport for three years. I dedicated my talent to the Lord because He is the one who will be glorified.

So it began. The competition started in all the sports. Every year level cheered and supported their fellow classmates. Though, there were some who became unfortunate and suffered early losses. The point here is that it doesn't matter how you win or lose, it's how you play the game and exhibit sportsmanship. In the end, I won overall champion in badminton because most of my opponents were beginners and it just so happen that I was already an advanced player. I just gave my best and did what I could. It truly was a memorable moment. Something that can be remembered when I look back in my past. I do thank those who supported me all the way. Finally, I thank God because He is my source of strength and wisdom. To God be the glory!
